I really love the idea of a gratitude diary or blog. In fact I may well do a posting every week on my blog entitled "things I'm grateful for this week" and encourage people to add comments on what they're grateful for. It makes such a change from focussing on the negative - something which just comes naturally to most people. I think they say you have to perform an action a certain number of times (maybe you can help me out with this one) before it becomes a habit. So maybe by writing down what we're grateful for on a regular basis will make positive thinking habitual.
